McQueen Spring Summer 2025: Poisonous Flower Embroidery

Unravelling the lore and poisonous flora of Spring Summer 2025

McQueen's signature precision comes to life with sharp-shouldered tailoring and intricately embroidered flowers: serpentine silver against dark suiting, embodying the house’s tradition of striking tensions and incisive technique.

Rich navy wool gabardine, meticulously cut, is traced with finely rendered moonflowers, invoking the formidable lore of the ‘banshee’ — the narrative heart of the collection, recalling the Irish heritage of creative director Seán McGirr.

The banshee’s mythological journey unfurls in the nature-inspired motifs. An ethereal force, the female figure is depicted horseback with long flowing hair entwined with poisonous moonflowers.

Hand-illustrated artwork forms the basis for the Poisonous Flower embroideries, engineered and carefully placed onto the tailored jacket before being hand-stitched in the McQueen atelier.

Employing various embroidery techniques, the sculptural moonflower petals and surrounding details are comprised of glass stones, metallic threadwork and bullion, complementing the polished silver of the signature T-Bar chain.
